ダンシング・クイーン その２ / Dancing Queen Part 2

社交ダンスのほかに私が
教会の独身成人プログラムでやったのは
ジャズダンスでした。
これもステークの大会に出て３位になりました。
当時ハワイの大学を卒業して帰ってきたばかりの
聖子姉妹がいろいろなことを教えてくれました。
ポイ・ボールもその一つ。
５０cmくらいの紐の先にテニス・ボールくらいの玉をつけ
（彼女はこれをティッシュを丸めて作ってくれました。）
その紐を２つ片手に一つずつ持ってグルグルと回すのです。
頭の上でヘリコプターのように回すのが私の得意技でした。
その写真は残念ながらありませんが
ジャズダンスの大会の日に撮った写真があります。

自分の部屋で撮ったもの。

so I can show the whole costume.

Social Dance was not the only one
that I enjoyed in Young Single Adult Program in Japan.
I really loved Jazz Dance,too.
Out team participated the Stake dance Comptetition,
and we won the 3rd place.
Seiko had just come home from Hawaii,
after she graduated from college in Hawaii.
She taught us how to dance with Poi ball.
It's a traditional Hawaiian dance using two strings with a ball about tennis ball
size at the end of each string.
She made them with tissue paper for us.
We swing around holding a string each hand.
My favorite was Helicopter, swing above your head.
Too bad I don't have any pictures of it.
But I have some pictures of our Jazz team.
