賢の伝道 その1 / Ken's Mission Part 1

Ken was called to Hiroshima Japan Mission as a missionary
from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
He left home end of June, 2006 to The Missionary Training Center in Provo, Utah.
Right after he got there , they tested him for how good his Japanese was.
He could make fine conversation, but he didn't know any religious words in Japanese.
So they decided to keep him for a whole 9 weeks training session.
Then he left for Japan in September.

The first picture was taken at our 4th home
on Sunday before we left for Utah to drop Ken at
The Missionary Training Center.

The second picture was at Temple Square in Salt Lake City.
It was a day before we dropped him at MTC in Provo.

The third picture was Ken's group who got called
to serve in Hiroshima Mission at the same time.
They took it in front of Provo Temple.

The fourth picture was Ken's injured arm.
When he was playing soccer during PE,
he hurt his right arm.
It almost caused delay of his departture for Jpan.

The fifth picture was taken right after he got there
at the front of the mission office.
With President and Sister Yafuso.

The sixth picture was  at the Baptismal meeting
with his first companion, Elder Jensen.

The seventh picture was when they had P-day in Miyajima,
the day for the preparation for week.
That means a day off for the missionaries.
These were the lady missionaries who worked with Ken.
The lady at left is my missionary's daughter Mami
who came to visit us a couple months ago.

The eighth picture was Ken's bike.
He shared the joy and pain with it for 2 years,
including car crash.

The ninth picture was when my parents, grandmother,
aunts and uncle came to visit Ken in Hatsukaichi .
His mission president gave him special permission to meet them.

The tenth picture was with Ken's second companion Elder Bull.
In Hatsukaichi .

The eleventh picture was with his third companion Elder Sato.
In Hatsukaichi .

The twelfth picture was with his fourth companion Elder Thompson.
Ken got transferred to Tokuyama.

The thirteenth picture was with his fifth companion Elder Sanchez.
