賢にとって高校生活最後の1年で
素晴らしい活躍をした年でした。
恵もその年にはいろんな活躍をしました。
我が家にとって本当に華やかな1年でした。
1枚目は2004年秋のホーム・カミングの
ダンス ・パーティーへ行く前の恵とアレックス。
我が家に集まって記念撮影。
恵にとってこれが初めての
公式なダンス・パーティーでした。
2枚目は同じく賢とジャッキー。
ジャッキーは賢のガールフレンドではないのに
またダンスに連れて行くことになりました。
ちなみに後ろに見えるグランドピアノは
我が家のものでなくて
親友のウエンディーが新築の家の完成まで
小さな借家に住んでいたので
置く場所がなくて預かっていたのです。
3枚目は2004年11月に行われた
ミス・アリゾナ、ミス・ティーン・アリゾナのパージェントに
出た時のもので す。
恵はマウンテン・リッジ地区の代表に選ばれて
州の大会に出たのですが
見事落選しました。
でもミス・アリゾナに選ばれた
お姉さんにとても可愛がってもらって
一緒に記念撮影。
4枚目は2005年4月のプロム。
高校卒業記念ダンス・パーティーに
賢はガールフレンドのナタリーと
恵はボーイフレンドのアレックスと
ウエンディーの息子ボーは
ガールフレンドのアシュリーと。
5枚目は2005年5月の賢の高校卒業式の日。
そのために両親が日本から来てくれました。
賢は650人ほどの4年生の中で
10番の成績で卒業しました。
それでいろいろなロープやメダルをぶら下げています。
生徒会の会計としても活躍しました。
また校内放送のアナウンサーとして
毎朝校内のＴＶに出演していました。
6枚目は卒業式に来れなかった
デイブの両親の家で記念撮影。
父が背骨の手術の後回復が悪くて
式に参加できませんでした。
7枚目は日本からわざわざ来てくれた両親のために
6人でメキシコにクルーズに行きました。
後ろの見える船はクイーン・メリー号。
8枚目はクルーズで寄ったカテリナ島で。
9枚目はクルーズで寄ったエンセナダで。
It was Ken's last year at high school from summer 2004 to spring 2005.
So he did many wonderful things.
Kay did great things in that year, too.
It was a bright year in our lives.
The first picture was Kay's first Home Coming Dance.
She was with Alex.
It was her first official Dance party.
The second picture was Ken and Jackie.
She was not Ken's girlfriend,
but Ken ended up to take her to the dance again.
The beautiful grand piano was not ours.
While my best friend Wendy's family was
waiting for their new home to be built,
they lived in a small rental home without space for the piano.
So we babysat this piano for her family.
The third picture was when Kay participatedin
Miss Arizona, Miss Teen Arizona pageant in 2004.
She was chosen Miss Mountain Ridge and
tried to win Miss Teen Arizona. But she didn't win.
The young lady who won Miss Arizona treated Kay like her younger sister.
So we took picture with her.
The fourth picture was when Ken and Kay went to prom together.
Ken took his girlfriend Natalie,
and Kay's boyfriend Alex took her.
My best friend Wendy's Son Beau took his girlfriend Ashley.
The fifth picture was at Ken's graduation.
My parents came all the way from Japan for Ken.
Ken was No.10 of his class of about 650.
That's why he had a lot of cords and sashes around his neck.
He was treasurer of Student Goverment that year.
Also he was an anchor of the school TV announcements.
He was on school TV every morning.
The sixth picture was at Dave's parents' home.
His father had back surgery, and didn't recover well.
So they couldn't go to Ken's graduation.
The seventh picture was on the cruise ship.
Since my parents came from Japan,
we took them to the Mexican cruise.
The ship behind us was Queen Mary.
The eighth picture was at Catalina Island.
The cruise ship took us there.
The night picture was at Ensenada.
Again the cruise took us there.
