苦労して帰省しました。
その年は主人の両親も同行して
大変な騒ぎでした。
帰省の時に婚約したばかりの弟が
フィアンセと一緒に滞在先の妹宅に来て
「来年結婚するからまた帰ってきてね」
と言いました。
私の顔は完全に引きつっていました。
そしてたった一人の弟のために
借金して帰省しました。
帰る１週間前に私は婦人科系の問題で手術しました。
ドクターは「筋腫を取るだけだから
その日に帰宅できるし
３日目にはエクソサイズだってできる」というのを信じて
手術を決行しました。
なんと開けて見れば卵巣が１つ使い物にならなくて
即、摘出しました。
それでも入院にはならず自宅へ。
だがやはり日本人の体はドクターの思い通りにはなりません。
１週間後の帰国は大変なものでした。
帰ってすぐ結婚式まで日にちがあったので
叔母夫婦が私たち４人と私の両親も招待してくれて
大勢でスペース・ワールドに連れて行ってくれました。
１枚目はスペース・ワールドでのショー「あなた、私、友達」のステージに
賢が呼ばれていったところ。
２枚目は恵と主人がステージに。
３枚目は 弟の結婚式で。
恵は私の従姉妹めぐみの着物をもらって着ました。
べつの従姉妹早苗と一緒に。
この従姉妹の着物を去年２０１０年に
マディーが借りて披露宴できました。
４枚目は賢と従姉妹。
５枚目は賢と恵が弟の披露宴で
新郎新婦に花束を届ける役をしたところ。
６枚目は弟夫婦と一緒に。
７枚目は小倉城で。
私の大学時代の親友「連れションのサチ坊」と。
佐賀からわざわざ会いに来てくれました。
８枚目は末日聖徒イエス・キリスト教会
北九州ワードの皆さんと。
集会の後ランチをする事を知らなかった私たちは
皆さんのお弁当を分けていただいて一緒に食べました。
９枚目は佐伯で。
初めての魚釣り。
私の父以外は誰も釣れませんでした。
１０枚目は小倉で。
賢たちの従兄妹の小学校の運動会で。
私の叔母と祖母と一緒に。
１１枚目は門司のカラオケスナックで。
親戚が集まってスナック貸しきりで楽しみました。
マイクを離さない恵。
１２枚目は福岡空港で。
楽しい帰省も終わりです。
１３枚目は成田空港で。
実は上司の奥様は私たちが
アメリカから成田に着いた時にも
お出迎えをしてくれ
帰国の時にはお休みだったので
上司も来てくれました。
これが彼に会った最後でした。
しばらくしてくも膜下出血で倒れ
若く亡くなりました。
When we decided to take our children to Japan in 1992,
it was really hard for us to buy air line tickets for 4 people.
Also we took my husband's parents with us.
It was a crazy trip for us.
When we were staying my sister's home,
my brother who just got engaged came to visit us with his fiance.
He said, "we are getting married around this time next year, so please come back again."
I froze.
He's my only brother, of course we had to come back.
So we had to use a credit card to buy 4 tickets.
A week before our departure for Japan,
I had surgery for my cyst problem.
My doctor said, "it's so easy.
You can go home the same day, and you can do exercise in three days."
I was stupid. I just believed what he said to me.
When he opened up my stomach, he found out that one of my ovaries
was not working at all. He had to take it out.
Still they sent me home that day.
A week later, I was on an plane for Japan.
It was a miserable trip.
When we got there, we still had some days before my brother's wedding,
so my aunt's couple took us and my parents to the amusement park named
Space World in Yahata, Kitakyushu.
The first picture was at Space World.
They had a show called, "You and Me, Friends".
She called Ken to come up in the stage and made him help her.
The second picture was Kay and Dave on the stage.
The third picture was at my brother's reception.
Kay was wearing the Kimono that my cousin Megumi gave to her.
Kay was with my other cousin Sanae.
The fourth picture was at my brother's reception.
The fifth picture was at the reception.
Ken and Kay were flower boy and girl.
The sixth picture was with my brother & his wife.
The seventh picture was at Kokura Castle.
My friend from college came over from Saga to meet us.
The eighth picture was at Kitakyushu Ward of LDS church.
We didn't know that they always eat lunch together after the meeting.
So we didn't bring our lunch. They shared with us.
The ninth picture was in Saiki, my parents' town.
It was our first fishing excursion.
We didn't catch any fish except my father.
He is a man of the sea.
The tenth picture was at my nephews' elementary school.
They had a field day while we were there.
My grandmother and aunts came to see their performance.
Ken and Kay were with my grandmother and aunt Keiko.
Th eleventh picture was at Karaoke Bar.
My relatives got together and chartered the bar all night.
Kay didn't let the microphone go.
The twelfth picture was at Fukuoka Airport.
It's time to say good bye again.
The thirteenth picture was at Narita Ariport.
My boss's wife came to see us when we got there from America.
And she came again to see us off for America.
This time her husband, my boss could come to see us, too.
It was the last chance for me to see him.
Shortly after this, he got subarachnoid hemorrhage and passed away.
