賢と恵 その３ / Ken and Kay Part 3

引き続き２軒目のお家での生活を紹介します。
この頃恵はかなりのやんちゃでした。
ある日私は日本人のお友達と電話で喋っていました。
ファミリールームで遊んでいた恵がス～と消えました。
「やばい」と思ったけどおしゃべりの途中なので
すぐには電話を切れませんでした。
ほんの２～３分のことでした。
リビングルームからガシャ～ンという音が聞こえました。
慌てて電話を切って行ってみました。
なんと！
両親が１軒目の新築祝いにくれた日本人形のケースと一緒に
恵が床に倒れていました。
人形はコーナーテーブルの上にあったのですが・・・
当然ガラスは割れて散らばっていました。
パニックになった私は
「恵、動いたらダメ！」と叫びました。
その声に驚いて恵はなき始めました。
恵を抱きかかえてガラスのないところに立たせて
何処も怪我していないか調べました。
あれは奇跡です。
人形ケースのガラスは割れて散らばってたのに
恵は何処も怪我をしてなかったのです。

落ち着いて何があったのか恵に聞きました。
「お人形さんみたいになりたかった」と言いました。
よく聞くと、もしガラスのケースの中に入ったら
自分も人形のようにきれいになれると思ったそうです。
人形はカクテルテーブルの上にチョコンと立っていました。
人形をケースから出してテーブルに置き
自分がケースの中に入ろうとしてバランスを崩して
ケースごと床に落ちたのでした。

この時この子は神様の御守りのなかで
生きてるんだ・・・と確信しました。


１枚目はハーロウインのために
 私が作ったコスチューム。
ロビンフッドとマリアン。

 ２枚目は１枚目を撮ってから２週間ほどして。
 恵に前髪がないのがわかりますか？
自分で散髪しました。

３枚目はカリフォルニアに住む
夏ちゃんと陽ちゃんを訪問したとき。

４枚目は家のキッチンで。
お母さんのお手伝い。
 お母さんはこの後
床の掃除で大変でした。

５枚目はお父さんの肩車。

６枚目はお母さんのお馬さん。

７枚目は家の前庭で。
ブルー・ハイビスカスがきれいで
近所でも評判になりました。

I continue to talk about our life in our 2nd home.
Around those days, Kay was a trouble maker.
One day, while I was talking to my Japanese friend on the phone,
I realized that Kay disappeared from the family room.
I thought, "oops," but I couldn't hang up the phone immediately.
A couple minutes later, I heard the crashing noise from the living room.
When I went there, I saw kay was lying down on the floor with
a large broken glass doll case.
I panicked!
I screamed and said to Kay, "don't move."
Kay got scared by my voice, and started to cry.
I picked her up and let her stand where no glass pieces,
and checked her if she got hurt or not.
It was a miracle.
The glass case was broken, but Kay didn't get hurt at all.

When I calmed down, I asked Kay what happened.
She said, "I just wanted to be pretty."
I figured out that she thought if she got in the case,
she could be pretty just like a doll.
So she took a doll out from the case, and she was getting in the case,
but she lost the balance and fell with the case.

I realized that Heavenly Father watched over her.
He protected her so many times.


The first picture was a little bit before Halloween.
I made those costumes for Halloween.

The second picture was a couple weeks after the first picture.
Can you see that Kay didn't have any bangs?
She gave herself a haircut.

The third picture was with their friends,
Nacchan and Yochan who lived in California.
We went to visit them.

The fourth picture was when they were helping their mom.
Their mom had to clean the floor for a long time after that.

The fifth picture was with their dad.
Ken enjoyed to get piggy back ride by his dad.

The sixth picture was with their mom.
They were too heavy for her.

The seventh picture was at their front door.
The blue hibiscus was so popular in our neighorhood.
