賢と恵 その４ / Ken and Kay Part 4

この２軒目の家に住んでる頃には
いろいろな面白い事件が起きました。

ある日私が日本人の友達と電話中の事。
ファミリー・ルームで遊んでたはずの恵の姿が消えました。
ほんの少しして賢の叫び声が・・・
行ってみるとホールと賢の部屋は
恵の芸術作品で色鮮やかに変身していました。

クレヨンで描かれた作品はほんの数分で完成しましたが
それを消すのには数時間が必要でした。
きれい好きな賢はクレヨンで汚れた部屋に寝ることを硬く拒み
きれいに塗り替えるまでの２～３日
賢を恵の部屋に恵を賢の汚れた部屋に寝せました。

またある日のこと。
同じく私が日本人と電話で喋ってる間の出来事。
また同じく賢の叫びで事件は幕を開けました。
「お母さ～ん！恵が死ぬ～～～～～」
慌てて賢の部屋へ。
恵の頭の見えない体が床に横たわってる。
頭は・・・ベッドの下。
ベッドの下に転がったものを取ろうとして
もぐったら頭が引っかかって出れなくなっただけでした。
恵本人は「エヘへ・・・」でしたが
泣きじゃくる賢を落ち着かせるのにかなり時間がかかりました。


１枚目は恵のダンス生活の始まり。
このとき娘にはタップダンスの才能がない事を
はっきり見抜いた母でした。

２枚目は賢がキンダーガーテンに行き始めた頃。
バックパックを背中にかるう事が誇りの賢でした。

３枚目は賢の書いたドラッグと戦うスローガンが
学校の代表に選ばれました。

４枚目は賢の野球のデビュー。
ＴボールといってＴ字の台にのせた
ボールを打つゲーム。

５枚目は前の年のクリスマスに賢は
誕生日に恵は買ってもらった自転車で。

６枚目は賢のキンダーガーテンのクラスの
バレンタイン・パーティーで。

７枚目は賢のキンダーガーテンの卒業式。

８枚目は賢の１年生の第１日目。

９枚目は恵のプリスクールのクラス。

１０枚目は２軒目に最後のお正月。

There were so many happenings when we lived in our 2nd home.
One happened when I was talking to my Japanese friend on the phone.
Kay was playing in our family room, but she disappeared.
A couple minutes later, I heard  Ken's screaming voice.
When I went to there, Ken's room and the hall became the museum


with the master pieces by the great artist Kay.
She had covered the walls with crayon scribblings.

It was built in a couple minutes,
but it took several hours to clean up.
Ken didn't want to sleep in his room until it was repainted.
So he and Kay switched rooms for a couple of days.

One day, again, when I was talking to my Japanese friend on the phone,
the incident started with Ken's screaming voice. Deja vu.
"Mommy, Kay is dying."
When I went to Ken's room, I saw Kay's body was lying down on the floor
without sight of Kay's head.
Her head was stack under Ken's bed.
She tried to get something rolled under the bed, then she couldn't get out.
Kay wasn't worried, she just thought, "oops".
But it took a long time to get Ken calmed down.


The first picture was begining of Kay's dance career.
Her mother immediately figured out that she didn't have any talent of Tap Dance.

The second picture was when Ken started to go to Kindergarten.

The third picture was when Ken's slogan of Anti-Drug was chosen at school.

The fourth picture was Ken's Debut of  baseball.
Actually it was T-BALL.

The fifth picture was when they got their own bicycles.
Ken got his for Christmas the year before.
And Kay just got hers for her birthday.

The sixth picture was when Ken's Kindergarten class had a Valentine's Day party.

The seventh picture was Ken's Kindergarten Graduation.

The eighth picture was Ken's first day of his First Grade class.

The ninth picture was Kay's Pre-school days.

The tenth picture was the last New Year's Day at our 2nd home.
