Ken finished his mission on May 31st, 2008.
We decided to  go to Japan to pick him up there.
We had a plan to go with my best friend's family.
My friend Wendy's husband had a heart attack about 5 months before that trip.
His doctor told them that he didn't have enough strength to go to on a long trip.
So Wendy cried a lot, and gave up the trip.
But her son Beau didn't give up.
He decided to come with us without his family.

First we got Kitakyushu, and stayed 2 nights at my sister's home.
Then we went to Hiroshima to meet Ken.
We went sightseeing in Hiroshima and Miyajima.
We stayed 2 nights at my friend Sister Matsushige's home in Tokuyama.
Then we went to Tokyo for 1 night.
My friends, Sister Inagaki and Sister Azekura helped us
to go sightseeing.
Then we went to visit  Kyoto for 3 nights.
We went to Saiki where my parents live.
We stayed there for 3 nights and went back to Kitakyushu to
see my relatives. And came home.

The first picture was at Hiroshima Mission Office.
Elder Christensen who was in Ken's group was there.
His parents came from the US to pick him up, too.
The left is President Yafuso, and the right is Sister Yafuso.

The second picture was at Hiroshima dome.

The third picture was at Miyajima.
From Ken's first area Hatsukaichi ward,
Brother and Sister Takesako came to guide us.

The fourth picture was at Ube branch where Ken served  last.
My friends Brother and  Sister Matsushige took us there.
We stayed at their home for 2 nights.

The fifth picture was at Asakusa, Tokyo.
My friends Sister Inagaki, and Sister Azekura took us there.
They also got the hotel for us.
My friend Christy's brother Cameron came to visit us, too.

The sixth picture was at Uzumasa, Kyoto.
Ken became the member of Shinsengumi.
Kay was a princess.
And Beau became Miyamoto Musashi, the famous samurai.
Beau once wrote a report about him when he was in high school.

The seventh picture was at Kinkakuji  Temple in Kyoto.

The eighth picture was at Kiyomizudera Temple in Kyoto.

The ninth picture was at Nijojo Castle in Kyoto.

The tenth picture was on my father's fishing boat in Saiki.

The eleventh picture was at my father's favorite Chinese restaurant.

The twelfth picture was at my parents' home.
Ken and Beau spent about $100 for these fireworks.

The thirteenth picture was when Mrs. Matsushita
and her daughter Eri came to visit us.
She was Ken and Kay's 5th grade teacher.

The fourteenth picture was at my aunt's home on the last day in Saiki.
We went there to say goodbye to her and her husband.

The fifteenth picture was at my favorite restaurant
"Akachouchin" in Kitakyushu.
My relatives got together to say goodbye to us.
