その宿に宿泊して翌日
両親と一緒に佐伯に帰りました。
翌日８人で沖に魚釣りに行きました。
マディーとジェフにとってははじめての経験でした。
佐伯には２泊しただけで
両親や親戚に別れを告げて
賢とジェフの伝道地、広島に向かいました。
伝道本部を訪問して
平和公園へ行きました。
その２年前にもここを訪れてるのに
私はまたここに満ちている霊たちを感じて
胸がいっぱいになりました。
マディーにとって広島で６６年前に起きたことは
遠い昔の知らない国での出来事なのでしょうか。
彼女がどれだけ理解できたか
私にはわからないまま、そこを発ちました。
賢とジェフはここで伝道したので
何度も訪れその出来事の悲惨さや恐ろしさ
またそれがこれから先の世界にとって
どのような意味を持っているのかを
十分に理解していると信じています。
恵は自分の母親の国で起きた出来事なので
いろいろ調べたようで理解しているようです。
さらにみんなの一番大好きな場所に向かいました。
ここで賢がお世話になった
教会のお友達平岡姉妹と会い
彼女に案内していただきました。
その日広島には宿泊せず
そのまま京都へ向かいました。
ホテルに着いたのは夜の１１時でした。
翌日金閣寺、平安神宮、清水寺、二条城と
普通のコースで観光した後
京都タワーで買い物をして
１３時間ウロチョロしてホテルに戻りました。
翌朝東京へ向かいました。
東京についてすぐにホテルに荷物を下ろして
六本木ヒルズに行き
それから約束の時間に東京神殿で
お友達と一緒に神殿に入りました。
私の宣教師文香姉妹は
もうすでに神殿の中で待っていらして
神殿前での写真は一緒に撮れませんでしたが
昌子姉妹、信子姉妹とはご一緒できました。
神殿でのセッションの後
３人と広尾の韓国料理のレストランで食事をして
楽しい夜をすごしました。
翌日は浅草に観光に行き
秋葉原でゲームなどを買って
午後は原宿、渋谷などファッションの街で
買い物を楽しみました。
東京での宿泊は
新宿のホテルでした。
帰国の日、新宿駅から成田空港までの
NEX に乗るためにホームに行きました。
私たちの便は１２時１０分。
すでに１２時４０分と１３時１０分の便はキャンセルになっていて
１２時１０分の列車は池袋で立ち往生していました。
詳しいことはわかりませんでしたが
飛び込み自殺がありその処理で
列車のキャンセルや遅れが出ているとのことでした。
私たちの便はキャンセルされてないけど
いつ新宿駅に着くかまったく検討もつかないとのことでした。
私たちはここで大きな選択をしないといけませんでした。
もしバスで行くことにしても
かなりの混乱がありアメリカに帰る飛行機の便に
間に合うかどうか怪しい状態でした。
よく考えて私たちはそのにぎやかな
新宿の駅のホームで６人が輪になり
神様に祈ることにしました。
主人が祈る間、その騒がしいホームで
私たちの耳のは彼の声しか聞こえませんでした。
そして「大丈夫。列車は来ます。安心しなさい」という声を聞きました。
１２時５０分、私たちの列車は
４０分遅れでホームに入ってきました。
そして私たちは無事に成田に着き
予定通りにアメリカに帰ってきました。
１枚目は父の船で沖に出ているところ。
２枚目は漁師の賢。
３枚目は漁師の妹の恵。
４枚目は両親の家で叔母と一緒に。
５枚目は佐伯駅でお別れのとき。
お友達のサチコさんがお見送りに来てくれました。
６枚目は賢とジェフの伝道本部で。
７枚目は原爆ドームの前で。
８枚目は宮島の厳島神社で
平岡姉妹と一緒に。
９枚目は京都の金閣寺で。
１０枚目は東京神殿で
昌子姉妹と信子姉妹と一緒に。
１１枚目は広尾のレストランで
文香姉妹と一緒に。
１２枚目は浅草で。
After the wedding reception in Wakamatsu,
we went to Saiki with my parents the next morning.
We stayed in Saiki for just 2 days.
My parents took us fishing in the ocean next day.
It was the first experience for Jeff and Maddie.
We said good bye to my parents in Saiki,
and headed to Hiroshima .
First we visited Hiroshima Mission Office.
Then we went to Hiroshima Peace Park.
Ken and Jeff visited there so many times,
and learned about what happened to the people in Hiroshima.
They know how awful and sad thing it was.
Kay researched about Hiroshima and Nagasaki,
since it's about her mother's country.
So they know how important it is to teach the next generation about war and peace.
I'm not sure how much Maddie understands about Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
Because it happened in foreign country 66 years ago.
Well, we left Hiroshima, and went to Miyajima.
That's our favorite place to visit.
There is a shrine in the ocean, called Itsukushima Shrine.
It was built by Tirano Kiyomori in 12th century.
We met our friend Sister Hiraoka
who was so nice to Ken when he served her area.
We didn't stay the night in Hiroshima,
and left there for Kyoto that night.
We got to a hotel in Kyoto around 11pm.
We visited Nijo Catle, Heian Jingu Shrine,
Kiyomizu Temple, Kinkaku ji Temple the next day.
We stayed 2 nights in Kyoto and left there for Tokyo.
When we got to the hotel in Tokyo, it was around 2 pm,
so we went to Roppongi Hills.
Then we met our friends Masako,Nobuko at Tokyo Temple.
My missionary Fumika was already inside the temple.
We enjoyed the session with those three ladies.
They took us the Korean restaurant in Hiroo.
The next day, we went to Asakusa.
Then children wanted to go to Akihabara to buy some games.
We enjoyed shopping in Harajuku, Shibuya, Shinjuku.
We stayed 2 nights in Tokyo.
And it was time to go home.
We were going to take the special train for Narita International Airport.
Our train was coming to Shunjuku station on 12:10.
When we got the platform, we found out that 12:40 and 13:10 trains were canceled,
and our train was stuck in Ikebukuro.
They didn't know when our train would come or might be canceled, too.
There was an incident that somebody jumped in front of a train and committed suicide.
We had to choose to stay the station until the train come,
or take a bus to go to Narita.
We decided to pray to our Heavenly Father.
The place we were is one of the most busy train stations in Japan.
There were so many people around us.
We made a circle and my husband said a prayer.
Immediately, the noise disappeared and
all we could hear was my husband's voice.
After he finished a prayer, we knew it's going to be OK.
The train came at 12;50.
We could be in Narita Airport on time.
We took our flight and came home.
The first picture was on my father's fishing boat.
The second was "Fisherman Ken".
The third was fisherman's sister Kay.
The fourth was at my parents' home with my aunt.
The fifth was at Saiki station.
My friend Sachiko cmae to say good bye to us.
The sixth was at Ken and Jeff's mission office.
The seventh was at Hiroshima Dome.
The eighth was at Itsukushima Shrine in Miyajima.
The ninth was at Kinkakuji Temple in Kyoto.
The tenth was at Tokyo Temple with
my friends Masako and Nobuko.
The eleventh was at a Korean resutaurant in Hiroo.
My missionary Fumika , and my friends Masako and Nobuko took us there.
