賢の大学卒業 / Ken's Graduation from ASU

息子の賢は２００６年から２００８年にかけて
末日聖徒イエス・キリスト教会の宣教師として
日本広島伝道部で働きました。
その間大学から奨学金の保留をしてもらい
帰還後復学しました。
そのため２年遅れて
２０１１年５月に大学を卒業しました。

専攻はビジネス・コミュニケーションで
副専攻は日本語でした。

パーティーをしました。

１１枚目は私の親友ゲイルとその息子で賢の親友ランス。
主人の妹シャロンは仕事で来れず
パートナーのメリーがツーソンから駆けつけてくれました。

１２枚目は主人の母バーバラと
妹ゲイラと主人のジェフと娘のティファニー。

１３枚目は私の親友ウエンディーと主人のデイビッドと
息子で賢の親友ボーと奥さんのタバサ。

１４枚目は賢の従姉妹たち、ブルックとブリアナ。
ブリトニーの娘ケイデンスも一緒に。

１５枚目は賢とマディー友達のエミリーと息子のウインストン。

１６枚目は主人の妹コニーと主人のジョン。

１７枚目は全員で撮るのを忘れて残っていた一部で。

 

Our son Ken went to Hiroshima, Japan Mission as a missionary
of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints fron 2006 to 2008.
So he asked ASU to hold his scholarship for 2 years.
When he returned from his mission, he went back to ASU.
Because he spent 2 precious years of his life in Japan,
he graduated from ASU 2 years later than most people who graduated from high school with him.
His major was Buisiness communications, and minor was Japanese.

The first picture was Wells Fargo Arena where the ceremony was held.

The fourth picture was outside of the arena after the ceremony.

The fifth picture was with the people who came to the ceremony.
It started 8:00 am on Thursday. It was hard for the people to come.

The seventh picture was at Pacific Sea Food restaurant in Chandler.
We had a lunch party right after the ceremony there.

The tenth picture was Ken's cousin Brittni's family, Rob, Cadence and Autumn.

The eleventh picture was my friend Gayle and her son Lance who is Ken's friend.

The twelfth picture was my mother-in-law Barbara,
my sister-in-law Gayla and her husband Jeff, her daughter Tiffany.

The thirteenth picture was my best friend Wendy and her husband David from Surprise,
her son Beau who is Ken's best friend and his wife Tabitha.

The fourteenth picture was Ken's cousins Brooke and Brienna,
and Brittini's daughter Cadence.

The fifteenth picture was Ken and Maddie,
and their friend Emily and her son Winston.

The sixteenth picture was my sister-in-law Connie and her husband Jon.

The seventeenth picture was with whoever was still there.
We forgot to take a picture with everybody.
