父が病院のベッドで逝ってしましました。
その数日前に尿管に炎症を起こして40℃の熱が出て
薬で押さえていたのですが
高熱の中、歩行器も使わず1人でトイレに行こうとして
転んでしまいは初めは膝が痛いと言ってたのですが
翌日病院に行くと腰が3か所も折れていました。
食欲もあり入院から2日後に手術の予定でした。
ところが翌日午前5時に看護師の見回りでは息をしてなくて発見されました。
寝てる間にもどしてそれが喉を詰まらせて窒息死でした。
今日は父の93歳の誕生日でした。
この記事を書いてお祝いとします。
My father passed away in the hospital on May 28th, 2024.
A several days before that, he got an infection in the tube by his kidney,
and had 104F fever. The doctor gave him antibiotics, but he got fever on and off.
I guess he couldn't think clearly, so he went to the bathroom without his walker,
and felt down and broke his hip in 3 places.
My sister took him to the hospital on Monday, and he was scheduled for surgery on Wednesday.
But he threw up and the food stuck in his throat and choked him to death.
Today is his 93rd birthday, so I am writing this article for his birthday present.
1988年11月に恵が生まれるので両親は2か月滞在して
私を助けてくれました。
1989年1月2人が帰国するのでロスの空港まで送っていきました。
In November 1988, my parents came to help me to have Kay, and they stayed for 2 months.
In January 1989, we took them to LAX Airport to send them off to Japan.
2004年6月、私たち家族は子供の夏休みに合わせて
佐伯の両親の家に滞在しました。父が船で釣りに連れて行ってくれました。
In June, 2004, we stayed my parents' home in Saiki for a long time, since it was summer vacation.
My father often took us to the ocean for fishing in his boat.
2005年5月賢の高校の卒業式のため両親がやって来ました。
In May, 2005, they came to the US for Ken's High School graduation.
2006年11月23日、賢が広島伝道部で伝道中、伝道会長の許可を頂いて
両親と祖母、叔母たちが廿日市を訪問してくれました。
November 23rd, 2006, my parents, grandmother, and aunts went to visit Ken during his serving as a missionary in Hatsukaichi, Japan. We got permission from his mission president.
2009年4月25日両親が恵の大学の卒業式のためにやって来ました。
彼らが来ると必ず連れて行くメキシコ料理のレストラン、マカヨで。
この写真の父を遺影に使いました。
April 25th, 2009, my parents came to attend Kay's ASU graduation.
Every time they came here, we always took them to our favorite Mexican restaurant, Macayo's.
We used this picture for Dad's funeral portrait.
2010年6月6日、5月に結婚した賢夫婦、恵夫婦を連れて帰省して
北九州で披露宴をしました。
June 6th, 2010, we had a wedding reception in Kitakyushu for Ken and Kay.
2012年5月3日恵の法科大学院の卒業のために両親が来ました。
May 3rd, 2012, my parents came to attend Kay's ASU Law School graduation.
2014年11月22日私たちは孫のリンカーンとジェイを連れて帰省した後
両親とお別れの時でした。
November 22nd, 2014, we took our grandsons, Lincoln and Jay to Japan.
After we stayed at my parents' home for a week, it was time to say goodbye.
2015年10月28日、両親は生まれたばかりのベックとカルに会いにやって来ました。
ハーロウイン・パーティーでドラキュラになった父とカボチャのなった母。
October 28th, 2015, they came to see their newest great grandsons, Beck and Cal.
We went to the Halloween Party with them wearing costumes.
2017年10月15日 私たちは恵の家族と一緒に佐伯に帰省し1週間の滞在の後
お別れの時でした。
October 15th, 2017, we went to see my family with Kay's family.
We stayed at my parents' home in Saiki for a week, and my brother came from Kitakyushu to take us back there. It was a time to say goodbye again.
2019年4月15日 私たちはまた恵たち家族と帰省しました。
この時は父の米寿のお祝いをしました。
April 15th, 2019, we went to visit my family with Kay's family again.
We celebrate my father's 88th birthday.
2019年4月15日 この帰省で最後のランチを父としました。
母は入院中でした。ジェイは恥ずかしがり屋ですが
父の隣に座るチャンスは逃しませんでした。
自分のミドルネームが父の名前なのでジェイにとって父は特別な人です。
April 15th, 2019, we had our last lunch with my father.
My mother was in the hospital, so she couldn't join us.
Jay is a kind of shy boy, but he never misses the chance to sit next to my father.
Jay's middle name is my father's name, so he is so special to Jay.
2023年3月17日 コロナ禍が収まって4年ぶりに帰省しました。
この日が最後の訪問でした。
実際にジェイとカルにとってじいちゃん、ばあちゃんと
最後のお別れになりました。
母は2023年11月に父は2024年5月に他界したので。
実は恵たちが大阪観光してる日に父は亡くなりました。
あと5日で会うはずだったのに。
March 17th, 2023, we finally could visit my family after 4 years, because of Covid19.
Actually, it was the last time Jay and Cal could see my parents.
My mother passed away in November2023, and my father passed away in May 2024.
He passed away when Kay's family was in Osaka, 5 days before they were going to see him.
2024年5月27日 私たちの今回の帰省は父に会うためでした。
この日で2回目の訪問でした。
父が急に入院してその病院の訪問が厳しくて
なかなか訪問できなくなるなと思ってたら
翌朝亡くなりました。
May 27th, 2024, our trip to Japan was to spend the time with my father.
After we saw him, he was hospitalized because he broke his hip.
That hospital rule was very strict about visiting the patients, so we worried about it.
But he passed away the next morning.
2024年5月28日父はあっけなく逝ってしまいました。
その1週間前にはステーキを頬張るような元気な人だったのに。
May 28, 2024, my father passed away suddenly.
He was almost 93 years old and still enjoyed a steak dinner.
