帰省２０１７年 パート１ / Visiting Family and Friends in Japan 2017 Part 1

１０月１日出発して１７日まで
恵たち家族といっしょに
日本の家族や友人の訪問をして来ました。

４歳には２ヶ月ほど足りないジェイと
２歳になって２ヶ月ならないカルを連れての旅。
本当にどこに行っても皆に可愛がられて
大騒ぎの旅でした。

１０月１日フィニックスを１０時１０分に発つアメリカンに乗るため
お迎えの車が７時ごろ我が家に来ました。
恵たちの家に寄って空港についたのは８時前。
サンフランシスコに１２時過ぎについて
４時過ぎのJAL１便に乗って羽田へ。
羽田に２日夜７時過ぎについて
入国手続きを済ませて荷物を一旦引き取り
税関を抜けて国内線ターミナルへ・・・というのがスムーズに行かず
国際線の荷物引取りカウンターは７時４０分に閉まるというのに
私たちは７時半にまだ荷物をもらってなくて
こんな無理なスケジュールでチケットを買わせたJALに頭にきて
（普通国内線との乗り継ぎには２時間必要なのに今回１時間１０分しかなく
その便で大丈夫だからそのまま北九州行きに乗ってくださいということでした。
本当は羽田で１泊してから翌日北九州に向かいたかったのに）
「たくさんの荷物と子供２人連れて
国内線のターミナルまで自分たちで行けって言うんですか？」って
かなりきつい言い方をしたら
係員を３人つけてくれて荷物はすぐに来て
１人が国内線のターミナルまで
モノレールのチケットも買ってくれて案内してくれ
無事に荷物も私たちも北九州行きの便に乗れました。

便はちょっと遅れて１０時半に北九州空港に着き
迎えに来てくれてた妹と会えました。

Dave and I left for Japan to visit my family and friends 

with our daughter Kay's family on October 1st. 

The trip with almost 4 year old Jay and just turned 2 years old Cal was so much fun. 

Everybody adored Jay and Cal wherever we went.

We hired a driver to come pick us up around 7:00, 

and we asked him to go to Kay's home to pick them up, too.

We got Sky Harbor Airport around 8:00.

Our flight for San Francisco was 10:10.

We got San Francisco after noon.

Our flight for Haneda Tokyo airport was after 4:00 pm.

We got Haneda after 7:00 pm on October 2nd.

When I bought the tickets several months ago, they said we had to get the next flight for Kitakyushu on the same day that we got to Tokyo.

Usually we need 2 hours between flights, international and domestic, 

but this time we had just a hour and 10 minutes.

Actually, our flight was a little bit late to get to Haneda.

So the counter where we drop our luggage for next flight was almost closed.

That means we had to carry all of our luggage with two boys to domestic terminal by ourselves.

I was furious about that.

I guess my voice was loud enough to get helpers to do that.

They sent us 3 helpers immediately to get our luggage and 

go to domestic terminal and check all of our luggage in to the next flight.

They even bought the tickets for monorail to to go the terminal.

With their help, we safely got on the flight for Kitakyushu.

The flight was late, but my sister was waiting for us at the air port.

10. My sister and her husband took us Hirao-dai park on October 4th after Kay's family left.

14. At Tobata Station where they got off the train from Hiroshima on October 6th.

15. We had  lunch with Aunt Keiko at Akatsuki restaurant in Wakamatsu on October 6th.

16. We had a dinner party at Aunt Shigemi's home on October 6th.

17. We went  shopping at AEON in Futajima, Wakamatsu on Ocotber 7th.

18. At Space World in Kitakyushu on October 8th.

20. We had  dinner at restaurant with Aunt Shigemi's family on October 8th.
