帰省２０２５年秋 /  Visiting Family in Japan 2025 Fall

今回は春に一緒に帰省したので恵たち家族は来なくて

私達夫婦だけで帰省しました。

１０月１４日にフィニックスを発ちロスに向かう便に乗ったのですが

飛行機に問題があり別の飛行機に乗り換えてということになり

その便にのるとロスから羽田に飛ぶ便に間に合わなくなるので

サンディエゴに飛び翌日に羽田に飛びました。

ということで旅程が１日減りました。

更に預けたスーツケースは２つ１週間迷子になりました。

Kay's family went to Japan with us in the spring, they didn't go with us this time. 

We were supposed to leave Phoenix to go to Los Angeles on October 15th, 

but the plane was delayed by a maintenance problem, so we had to change the plane going to LAX.

By the time when that plane gets there, our flight for Haneda Tokyo would have left already.

So we decided to go to San Diego instead, and catch the flight for Haneda the next day. 

We started our trip with a problem, actually we lost our 2 suitcases for a week.

１０月１５日にサンディエゴを発ち成田空港に着いたのは１６日でした。

私達のホテルは羽田空港内にあるのでリムジンバスで移動して

ホテルに着きました。

On October 15th, we left San Diego, and got to Narita Airport on the 16th. 

Our hotel was in Haneda Airport, so we had to take a bus to go to there.

１０月１７日羽田空港を発ち北九州空港に着いたときはホッとしました。

妹夫婦が迎えに来てくれてて一緒に夕食を大好きなお寿司屋さんでしました。

We left Haneda Airport for Kitakyushu. At the airport my sister and her husband were waiting for us.

We had a sushi dinner at my favorite restaurant together.

１０月１８日、弟が小倉のホテルに迎えに来てくれて３人で買い物して

ランチを楽しみました。その後従姉妹の家族と待ち合わせたレストランまで送ってくれて

従姉妹たちと夕食をしました。

On October 18th, my brother came to pick us up at the hotel, and took us for shopping and lunch.

Then he dropped us off at the restaurant where we met my cousin's family. 

１０月１９日は叔父の三回忌があり出席させてもらい親戚一同と会えました。

法要が終わってみんなで家族が永代供養してるお墓に行ってお線香をあげて

その後弟が自宅に連れて行ってくれて両親の仏壇にもお線香をあげてきました。

On October 19th, we had my uncle's 3rd year anniversary of passing ceremony, 

so we could see most of my relatives.

Then my brother took us to our family grave yard, then he took us to his home to see my parents' 

Buddhist altar.

１０月２０日はJRを使って門司港まで行き叔母と従兄弟とランチをしました。

On October 20th, we went to Mojiko by Japan Railways to meet with my aunt and her son where we had 

lunch together.

１０月２１日は妹夫婦といつも行く美味しいイタリアンのレストランでランチをしました。

On October 21st, we met my sister and her husband and had a delicious Italian lunch.

１０月２２日はバスで若松区二島のイオンまで行き叔母２人とランチをしました。

On October 22nd, we took a bus to go to Futajima Aeon to meet my 2 aunts, and had Tempura lunch. 

１０月２３日は同じくバスで若松に行き一番若い叔母とランチをしました。

ON October 23rd, we took a bus again to go to Wakamatsu to meet my aunt, and had lunch with her.

１０月２４日妹夫婦が豊前まで連れて行ってくれて美味しいそばのランチを食べました。

帰りにはまた京寿司で夕食をして小倉城まで送ってもらい私たちは「竹あかり」をみました。

On October 24th, my sister and her husband took us to Buzen for delicious buckwheat noodle lunch. 

Then we had another sushi dinner at the same restaurant from the prior week.

They took us back to Kokura Castle for "Take Akari' which means bamboo lantern.

１０月２５日は弟がホテルに迎えに来てくれて「海と大地」にランチに連れて行ってくれ

買い物の後従兄弟の家で花火大会の夕食に連れて行ってくれました。

On October 25th, my brother took us for lunch at  "Umi to Daich" which means the sea and the earth.

That is  the restaurant where my brother used to take my parents for lunch. 

Then he took us to our cousin's home for a dinner party, and to watch the fireworks festival. 

１０月２６日今回の帰省の一番の目的の母の三回忌に出席しました。

The most important reason for this trip was to attend my mother's 3rd anniversary of passing ceremony.

On October 26th, we had the ceremony with my sister's family, my brother's family and my mother's 4 

sisters. 

１０月２７日は北九州で最後の日でした。

いつもこの日は妹家族と「浜かつ」で夕食をするのですが工事中だったので

ロイヤルホストで夕食をしました。

 October 27th was our last day in Kitakyushu, so we had dinner with my sister and her husband.

１０月２８日朝１０時２５分の便で北九州を発ち羽田ロス経由でフィニックスに帰りました。

妹夫婦と従姉妹がお見送りに来てくれました。

On October 28th we left Kitakyushu via Haneda, LAX for Phoenix.
