Ken's Toddler Year

Ken was a very nice and happy baby.
Dave and I were brand new parents who didn't know how to raise children.
We were nervous to leave Ken in his bed room.
So we got a bassinett to let him sleep in, and put it by our bed.
We made noises in the middle of the night, and woke each other up every night.
About two months passed, and I couldn't take it anymore.
So I decided to put Ken in his own crib in his room.
I fed him enough, and made him burp, then put him in his crib.
He cried for 30 minutes, but I didn't pick him up, and let him cry.
Then he got tired and felt asleep, and didn't wake up until the morning.
Since that night he slept all by himself all night.
He was always happy and smiled and laughed.
At our church, when the children turn 18 months, they go to the Nursery class.
Most of the children cry so much, because they don't want to separate from their parents.
When Ken turned 18 months old, he got so excited to go to the class.
He walked into the class, and started to play with the toys.
When I said "bye-bye Ken", he waved his hands without turning back to me.

The first picture was when Ken was about 2 months old.
Dave couldn't wait to come home from his office everyday to play with Ken.

The second picture was when Ken was about 3 months old.
My parents bought a nice Kimono for him and sent it to us.
We took this picture the day we got in the mail.

The third picture was when Ken was 5~6 months old.
He didn't care however I dressed him or whatever I put on him.
He was a happy baby, and posed front of camera.
I raised both of my children with cloth diapers.
That's why his pants looked huge.

The fourth picture was when he was 9 months old, at the studio.
I love this bow tie. I saved this for Ken's son.

The fifth picture was his 1st birthday party.
We took some pictures when he tried to blow out the candle,
but the flash light didn't work, and couldn't take good pictures.

Th last picture was when he was about 18 months.
He loved to wear this Japanese outfit, called Jinbei.
He also loved to carry the backpack all the time.
